Grave Digger’s Garage

Tuesday, September 16th, 2008

We made a quick stop at another cemetary cache: Grave Digger’s Garage. While we had to drive through the cemetary to get to it, I think this is the furthest away from a grave site we’ve found a cemetary cache. We found the YSB #4 travel bug and left behind a toy car. Haylee is gonna love the school bus when she sees it!

NB RA # 2.2

Friday, September 12th, 2008

On our way north for the last time this year, we stopped to do a couple caches. The first stop was NB RA # 2.2 at a rest stop near Ludington. We had our mother/mother-in-law/grandma along with us for her first cache ever. Once the GPS finally figured out where we were, this was a fairly easy find. We left behind the Cache Movers Geocoin we found on our very first outing and picked up two trackables (Cannonball Coin and MICHAEL AND BETH).

Old Glory

Wednesday, September 10th, 2008

Once we gave up on the summer series, we headed on to the nearby Old Glory cache. After almost stepping on the box once and still missing it, we did find it pretty quickly. We took AuntieNae’s Laugh-A-Lot Care Bear Travel Bug and left behind a 300th Military Police Brigade ACU patch.

A Bucket Full of Wishes

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008

On day three we took along Jamie and the Boys… with the extra people, we also left behind the dog. Our first stop was A Bucket Full of Wishes. An easy find, but it was a little strange walking into somebody’s front yard. We found the Rx Laughter, the Best Medicine travel bug. We have to come up with a good joke or two to put into it before we pass it on. We dropped off the $5 Vegas chip we found at Turbine Hill.

Savage Animal

Monday, September 1st, 2008

Our first stop was at Savage Animal where we got our very first travel coin. We hadn’t really prepared all that well, so we scoured the van looking for something to leave behind. We ended up leaving a small plastic bracelet.
