Tried to do one more real quick before we stopped for dinner, but didn’t have much luck. Suttons Landing was supposed to be a quick park and grab, but not for us . The GPS wasn’t getting us very close… probably because it was so overcast that it couldn’t get a really good lock.

After we left the rest stop, we got off at the Pier Marquette highway in order to do the Painted Rock cache. We parked where the recommended and started hiking up over the hill in the direction the GPS pointed us to. It probably would have been a shorter walk to park on the enterance ramp… but where the exercise in that, right? The cache was a little mildewed so we took nothing and left nothing.

On our way north for the last time this year, we stopped to do a couple caches. The first stop was NB RA # 2.2 at a rest stop near Ludington. We had our mother/mother-in-law/grandma along with us for her first cache ever. Once the GPS finally figured out where we were, this was a fairly easy find. We left behind the Cache Movers Geocoin we found on our very first outing and picked up two trackables (Cannonball Coin and MICHAEL AND BETH).
